Flawless Face

I have had my eye on the real techniques brushes for so long , but since i don't live in a city the variety of  the brushes stocked  in my local boots was below basic , so after a busy day at the Manchester beauty show , I hoped skipped & jumped to the nearest Boots to pick up the brushes that everyone is raving about....

They call this the expert face brush ... and it really is phenomenal i always find that after one or two uses of a normal liquid foundation brush you get the ''Im ready to be cleaned & if you dont clean me im going to apply streaky '' look. Now dont get me wrong i wash my brushes every week but i certainly dont have time to be washes them after every two uses, this brush applies your foundation ''pixel perfect'' making you look fawless in any lighting

I actually don't think i could ever use anything else ...

This comes as a set and is called ''Core Collection''  It contains a buffing brush ( which i also use for foundation but it gets clogged up quite quickly)
Precision Contour brush
Pointed foundation brush ( which i use for concealer )
Detailer brush which can either be used for lipstick or concealer

I have a lovely little friend who i would all like you to go and check out , Sanel works as a PR for bad apple cosmetics and as part of her job decided to join the blogging community , it would make me & sanel very happy if you went and Check her out   , shes just got up and running but shell be sure to have all the latest gadgets from the world of beauty.
As part of my Beauty therapy level 2 qualification we have started a blog where we will be blogging about what were learning and giving you little tips if you want to see whats going on in our world click me :)

Has anyone seen September

If anyone has seen September it would be much appreciated if they could bring it back , although i have to admit Winter is my favourite season when i tell people this i can guarantee they will look at me like i have 2 heads , theres something about winter that no other season seems to offer , it reminds me of good family meals , eating round the table great conversations , sitting on the sofa in your comfy pj's watching the rain fall or even better SNOW.... and not of course forgetting Christmas .. is it just me ?

These have been some of my favourite products throughout September ....

H.d Brow palette , MUA lipstick shade 3, Argan oil, MUA extreme felt liner, MUA shadow shade 30 , No7 beautiful skin cleansing balm

Basically this is your next best thing next to  moroccon oil and half the price of it to at £14.95 its still abit on the pricey side but  you need the tiniest amount so it does last for ages i use it everytime i wash my hair and sometimes inbetween , i have had it for nearly a year and i have used around a quarter of it so for the price its a bargain, i bought it when i had hair exstensions put it , to stop the hair from drying it and just carried on using it on my own hair when i had the exstensions removed and it has done wonders the bottle claims to:
  • add shine
  • prepare hair for heat straighting
  • protects hair from heat tools (although i still use heat protector after it GHD heating style if you must know)
  • quickens drying and stying time
  • Helps protect against sun and wind damage
  • Softens hair and manages frizz
Its fair to say i can vouch for all of them , if your interested i bought it from my local Sallys but you should be able to get it from any hair and beauty supplier AND they do studednt discount oooooo

I have to say i am not a pink lipstick kinda girl but this shade is beautiful the picture doesnt do it much justice as it does look very pink, but on it is the most beautiful fushia shade with a tinge of red... although im not a massive fan of the MUA lipstick packaging for £1 who can really complain ? And the products are long lasting and highly pigmented.

Highly pigmented eyeshadows, these MUA shadow are my non guilty make-up pleasures at £1 BARGAIN this shade is beautiful mixed with a deep red or brown for a Autumn smoky eye

This is how it swatches

This cleanser is my new all time favourite i am a balm and muslim cloth type of girl it gives such a nourishing feel and leaves no reasdue , its for dry to very dry skin but would be good for all skin types except for oily it prices at £9 and No7 normally do vouchers for £5 off

As you may no i love my beautiful brow kit but ive recently been loving the colours in the HD brow palette as you can mix them all up for diffrent types of make up looks, the only downfall to this palette is it does smudge easy

Posh fish'n'chips

This isn't a post i normally do , but since i am eating super doper healthy along with having my favorite treats ( cooked in different ways) i thought i would share with you some of my recipes.
A large portion of fish & chips contain a shocking amount of 1,400 cals , a vast portion of my posh fish & chips contains around 395 cals, The only extra calories come from the spoonful of your favorite sauces ( red, brown, mayo, tartar).

You will need:
Any white fish the amount depends on how many people your cooking for but just so you can get a rough idea i used 2 fillets of cod from my local fish mongers
Bread crumbs
Sweet Potato
black pepper
olive oil
mixed herbs
paprika (optional)

Peel & chop your sweet potatoes into chips  & place in a bowl with olive oil mixed herbs and  as much paprika as you like , i used only a small amount of paprika as i'am not a big fan of spicy foods but it adds beautiful flavor

Place on a baking tray on heat 200 and pop them in , they take about 40 mins so while there in you can  get cracking with the fish

It may be a better idea to ask you fish mongers to skin your fish,i was in a rush so i have skinned it my self if you buy your fish frozen it should already be skinned

Slice into ''fish finger'' like strips

Roll each piece of fish in breadcrumbs, you can make your breadcrumbs yourself , or buy them for around  £1 in most supermarkets.

Place on a baking try and put in the oven for 15-20 mins ( until golden brown)

Birds'eye eat your heart out

I served my fish in grease proof paper and made it in to a cone , to get a real fish & chip takeaway feel

Would Love to no if you try this , or have already made it yourself with a different recipe

Enjoy! x

Halikidiki

I have not blogged for over 3 weeks
I promise i have not forgotten you , But i have been sipping cocktails next to a white sandy beach and a clear blue sea.......
So with a suitcase full of too many clothes , bikinis & shoes and weighing exactly 4kg over my allowance we arrived at the beautiful island of Halikidiki ,
Utter bliss

Greece do the most fantastic cocktails ever ... you will only need two of these bad boys to be on your way

Bliss?

The food was immense , consisting of mainly fresh fish & Greek salads

The water was beautiful

Daisy chains

Hello beautifuls
Today's post is going to be another nail tutorial as I got a really good response from the last one and you all really seemed to enjoy it , so I thought I would share with you this cute daisy design which is lovely for summer Hope you enjoy xoxoxo

You will need
A base colour of your choice
Top & bottom coat (top coat is essential)
Acrylic paints which you can get from any craft shop
A dotting tool or a cocktail stick

Acrylic paints are the best thing to use for nail art as they are water soluble which means if you make a mistake you can wipe it off with a wet cotton pad :)
Paint your nails the base colour of your choice and put too little blobs of paint that you want your flowers to be
Applu four small dots along the top of your nail depending on how big your nail is using your dotter or cocktail stick
Apply 4/5 dots around the one you placed in the middle to create the daisy look

You can do it on all of your nails or just 1/2 ... it also looks great on toes  most importantly make sure you apply a top coat so your daisys dont come off :)

And here is the final look , i used maxfactor intense plum for my base colour

My next Post a ''H.D'' Brow tutorial

Lush review

So I recently took a trip to my nearest Lush store (which isn't so near) and had a little splurge , I have always heard good things about there bubble bars but have only ever bought a bath fizzer , I was impressed to find that the bubble bar can last for around 4 baths (as I thought they only did 1) and was even more impressed to find that I got 7 baths out of mine , I also indulged in buying one of there fresh face masks as I hate pre packed ones , I thought for ages that they were really good as I would often break out after using one and thought this was the mask clearing out my pores but realised that it was actually just my skin reacting to all the crappy chemicals , I must say I love there face mask but with it only lasting 3 weeks (because it's fresh) you really have to use it twice a week because there's just so much product , I also bought one of there solid shampoo bars but I will be doing a separate blog post on that because it defiantly deserves it , anyway here's some pictures of my lush products I wanted to share with you .Enjoy

Bubbles darlinggggg
Who wouldnt love a pink bath hey?

The Caviar Manicure

Hello beauties

I recently came across the new craze that's sweeping the nail'oholic nation called ''The Caviar Manicure'' it is where tiny little beads are placed on the nail to create a 3d look , the manicure was created by the make Ciate and looks so elegant and beautiful that it was a must buy , while doing a quick search through Google i found that the price of the kit started at £18 and goes all the way to £38. If you thought that was bad i then also discovered that the manicure only lasts around 2 days ! Shocking price if i do say so myself , so if you read my posts often enough i bet you can guess where i ended up ...yup that's right the beloved Ebay and found almost identically beads for a small fortune of £1.89 and double the range of colours you can see them HERE

You will need:
Caviar beads of your choice
Nail polish similar to the colour of the beads
A top Coat
A small plastic tray or bowl

I chose a mixture of colours

This is the nail polish colour i chose to go with my beads apply a thin layer of nail polish over each of you nails

Then apply a second coat but only doing 1  nail at a time once you have applied the second coat pour the beads over the wet nail and VERY gently push the beads into the polish

Once you have done every nail apply a topcoat to the tips of all your nails just to seal in the beads

Hope you enjoyed this nail post let me no if any of you try it :)

Heres a sneak peak at my next post
